Caroline Turns Two!

Caroline is TWO!  If you ask her how old she is, she proudly holds up her pointer fingers and says "Twooooooo!".  She is very excited about her age and everything that comes with it.  Her added year has added joy and amusement to our lives as well. She cracks us up on a daily basis with her choice of words and actions - from her sudden fear of bugs to her use of the phrase "It's so cold," even when it's 90 degrees outside.  I think she uses it as an excuse to accessorize with a scarf!

Here are some 2 year old highlights:

Caroline had a great check up with Dr. S.  She is 97% for height and head circumference and 91% for weight.  She's back on the charts, folks!  Dr. S cracked up when she plotted her weight because this is the first time in 2 years that Caroline has been on the charts for weight.  Her little baby belly and fat baby thighs are disappearing.  :(

She is sleeping in her big girl bed, in her big girl room!  We bought Caroline a toddler bed a couple of months ago and she is finally sleeping it in for both naps and nighttime.  She cracks me up - she won't get out of it until I go get her.  She was the same way about her crib - never once did she try to crawl out.  I guess the girl knows that sleep is a good thing!  Her little girl room is just precious - pink and ballerina - just like a little girl's room should be.

Caroline has taken an active role in her daily attire selection.  She has an opinion about everything she puts on so I usually give her the choice between 2 items.  It works so far, but I fear that she will catch on to my trick in the years to come.

She is a total klutz!  Her knees stay scraped and bruised, and mostly covered with Dora Band-Aids.  She can count her boo-boos and tell you how many "Dorbandais" she needs.  There's usually an added Band-Aid, just for kicks.  She can unwrap them and place them on her legs, which is more than her MayMay can do!

She is sort of obsessed with a lighter on Luc's shelf.  Daddy fail.

Caroline exclaims "Woohoo!" when she's excited about something, which makes me love her little sense of appreciation.

She has a very real sense of friends and misses them when she hasn't see them in a while.  Although she is 6 months younger than most of her buddies, that age difference is slowly becoming less noticeable.

Here are some pictures from her Dora party at the Little Gym and other happenings from our crazy world...

This is what happens when Caroline is on a combo of steroids, breathing treatments and her inhaler.  And people wonder why I can't get anything done...

Big girl room!

Caroline's birthday!  We went to the toy store and she chose a pair of sunglasses and a new watch.

Caroline and Dada jammin' out!

Ice Cream!

She LOVED the mashed potatoes I cooked.  Obviously she's a Maher.
